I welcome the opportunity to introduce you to Bass Coast Specialist School.

Situated approximately two hours from Melbourne and close to the Wonthaggi Town Centre, the school offers a range of experiences for all students.

Bass Coast Specialist School is unique in that it offers the learning challenges of a city school whilst maximising the benefits of being in a beautiful rural setting.

The school is committed to nurturing relationships within the school and the broader community to ensure students belong to their community.

The school’s special approach to education is supported by over 30 staff of specialist teachers, educational support staff and allied health staff.

The 70 plus student cohort enjoy an extensive range of learning opportunities tailored to individual needs as assessed by school staff, students and family.

Our vision to communicate, to be kind, to be safe and to be lifelong learners is appropriate for all of our students, from 5 years old 18 years old.

It is also relevant for our staff and every visitor and I see it as my personal vision as well.
